Kate Foster
Kate Foster is a children’s author originally from a small town in the southeast of England who now lives on the stunning Gold Coast in Australia with her family and second-hand dogs. She is passionate about encouraging and teaching a wider understanding of autism and mental illness through positive representation in both her books as well as her presentations and talks. Her novels are published across three continents and include All the Small Wonderful Things (JLG Gold Standard Selection 2023), The Bravest Word (WAYRBA shortlisted, Queensland Literary Awards Finalist, CBCA Notable title, Australian Association of Family Therapist’s 2024 Book Award Winner), The Unlikely Heroes Club and Small Acts along with her first chapter book, Harriet Hound. She has also written a guided reader for a new neurodiverse series released in 2023 from Collins Big Cat entitled, Third Time’s a Charm!.
