Tyer Wittkofsky, a literary dynamo from North Carolina’s southern coast, wears many hats as President and Publisher of Tea With Coffee Media. His journey is one of triumph and personal growth, rooted in a family that revered the written word, guided by his influential English teacher grandmother. College brought unforeseen challenges, with addiction and undiagnosed mental illness as formidable foes. Yet, Tyler’s unwavering determination and resilience saw him through, a testament to his strength. In 2012, poetry became Tyler’s therapeutic outlet, helping him navigate anxiety, bipolar disorder, and depression.
His debut collection, Coffee, Alcohol, and Heartbreak in March 2020, delves into his transformative journey from 2012 to 2016. Entering novellas in 2019, Tyler penned (Not) Alone drawing from true events and highlighting the challenges of living with mental illness. This success paved the way for The Seeds of Love: Sunflower Kisses Book One in 2021, a romance novel woven around the desires of a mentally ill young man. Venturing into short stories in 2020, Tyler found homes in prestigious anthologies like Dark and Stormy Night, Happily Ever Never, and ANNUS HORRIBILIS. His work resonated in online magazines and esteemed platforms, echoing far and wide.
In 2021, Tyler launched Tyler Wittkofsky’s Mindful Tales: Stories of Mental Health and Resilience, Coffee Chat interviews, Tea Time posts, and insights on mental health, marketing, traveling, and writing. The following year, he co-founded Tea With Coffee Media, dedicated to amplifying indie voices. Beyond writing, Tyler engages audiences through podcasts, from co-hosting Back Porch Parley to the current podcast, unraveling the secrets of the writing and publishing world. Now, Tyler, with wife Grace and canine companions Dutch and Belle, embarks on a cross-country adventure chronicled in the blog Adventure With Coffee, inviting readers to share the magic of each unfolding chapter.
